Tangkuban Perahu is a tourist object in Bandung, West Java province. The tourist object is located 30 kilometers from Bandung city. The route you can take to get there is Bandung – Ledeng – Lembang – Tangkuban Perahu.
If you go from Bandung to Tangkuban Perahu by motorcycle, you go from Dago to Pagerwangi to Lembang and finally to Tangkuban Perahu. Along the asphalt road you can enjoy watching Bandung from higher grounds. Going eleven kilometers from Lembang, you arrive at the gate of Tangkuban Perahu. In order to enter the tourist object, you are to pay Rp 12,500 for yourself, and Rp 4,000 for your motorcycle. (Rp 9,000 is the ticket for a car, and Rp 17,500 for a bus.) In the parking lot area, there is an interesting wall relief that describes the story of  Sangkuriang and his mother Dayang Sumbi, the story of whom has long become a legend among the local people. As far as four kilometers from the gate, you will get to Tangkuban Perahu’s main trourist object, that is Kawah Ratu or the Queen Crater. The crater is very beautiful, but you have to be careful not to walk down near the crater because it is dangerous (there is poisonous gas that can come out of the crater unexpectedly). The landscape and view of Tangkuban Perahu is very beautiful, and the air is really fresh there. If you are a nature person, Tangkuban Perahu is a suitable tourist object to visit.
After enjoying the natural beauty of Tangkuban Perahu, you can shop some of the souvenirs available and sold on its location. The souvenirs include clothes, toys, dolls, and various handicrafts. You can also buy food and snacks, traditional medicines containing sulfur that are good to cure skin diseases, and other kinds of medicines.

MARIBAYA WATERFALL, Bandung

To be exact, the location is just a few minutes east of Lembang. Maribaya’s recreation grounds and a magnificent gorge make a very popular resort.
On Sundays Maribaya is a particularly crowded spot. Minibuses and horse carts are frequent from Lembang. Maribaya draws many Bandung residents on Sundays because of the hot springs which are channeled into a small public pool and various private cabins. Some come here for the children’s playground and horseback ridding (about Rp 30,00 per hour), and many just to have a picnic in the park. A magnificent walk leads through the Cikapundung Gorge to Juanda Park, about an hour and a half away. The path leads first to a waterfall (unfortunately, no swimming is possible) and then in to the gorge. Farther on the path forks: left leads out of the valley again, up the slope and to an other fork where turning left takes you to an impressive view points just above Maribaya; the path to the right takes you to Dago. Walking further through the gorge you reach Juanda Park, passing Japanese World War II bunkers along the way.
Another hike back to Bandung begins at the new car park posted “Curug Omas”, which is 5 km from the Lembang crossroads and before you reach Maribaya. This path provides far better views than the rail in the gorge. This trail, too, goes to Juanda Park or, some forty-five minutes longer, to the Ciumbuleuit area. Directions for you: go straight (east) at the Lembang crossroads and follow the charming tree-lined road; some 4 km from Lembang the roads begins to dip steeply into the Cikapundung Valley. The Maribaya Waterfall recreation park is 5.5 km from the crossroads.

The park is exactly located in Cibeureum village, Cisarua sub-district, and it is an interesting place to visit.
There are many things for you to see in the park area. Besides its interesting landscape, the park presents to you a large collection of animals, among others are various primates, reptiles, elephants, lions, rhinoceros, deer, and horses. They are kept in the places that resemble their natural habitats in the wild. From inside your car, you can enjoy looking at the animals. The park also presents other things and facilities such as bird parks, animal education shows, horse and elephant rides, trek safaris, a huge wheel, baby zoo, wild wild west, caravans, and hotels. The wild wild west show is something interesting to see. It is a show performed in an arena which has been set to resemble the western cowboy place. It is a show that is full of exciting cowboy attractions and it can be enjoyed free of charge every day. Every show takes place for fifteen minutes.  Besides all those things, there is also something called ‘baby zoo’. In this place you can take photos of you with a white lion, leopard, or orang utan.
Not long ago, Taman Safari Indonesia launched a new program called ‘elephant adventure’. Through the program, visitors are invited to ride on an elephant back. Riding the elephant, visitors can circle the park for almost an hour. To enjoy the ride, you are to pay Rp50,000 per person. Four adults can ride on an elephant at a time. Guided by an elephant master, the elephant walks around the park nicely and freely like in its own natural habitat, so its riders can feel the ride excitement while enjoying the park panorama.

TIRTA SANITA, Bogor

Bogor is a city next to Jakarta. From Jakarta you can get to Tirta Sanita by by taking the route of Lebak Bulus – Pondok Cabe – Parung – Ciseeng.
The hot water of Tirta Sanita springs comes from the nearby limestone mountain at Ciseeng. That is why the tourist object is also called Ciseeng Hot Water. TEMAC (Thailand Engineering Materials Analysis Co., Ltd.) has tested the hot water content of sulfur, and TEMAC states that the Ciseeng sulfuric hot water is very useful for human’s health, especially for curing a variety of skin diseases. As a tourist, you can enjoy bathing in the hot water in its natural pool, outdoors. However, if you want to bathe in the hot water indoors, you have to rent a room. To rent a 2x2meter room, it costs you between Rp 6,000 and Rp 10,000 per person. Besides the hot water, on Tirta Sanita location you can also enjoy the beautiful view and panorama of Mount Ciseeng with its cool air. You can even walk up the mountain and enjoy the surrounding view from there. Tirta Sanita’s location has also been used as a campsite that covers a relatively wide area. Besides that, the location is good for doing outbound program activities for all ages. So, Tirta Sanita is suitable not only for bathing in natural hot water but also for doing various activities such as outdoor plays, games, shows, stage performances, and camping.
If you should spend the night on the location, a room rate per night is between Rp125,000 and 165,000 per person. And if you just need to rent a room for six hours, the rate is Rp 95,000 – 115,000.

UJUNG GENTENG, West Java

ujung genteng 300x225 UJUNG GENTENG, West JavaSukabumi is a district and city in West Java province. About 120 kilometers from the city lies an interesting tourist object called Ujung Genteng. Its beach is still very clean and natural, and it has a unique attraction for tourists to visit it.
In some parts of the Ujung Genteng beach there are some areas which are very good to play around and relax underwater. This is because the water is not deep, even when it is during high tide. Besides, there are no big waves. To the east of Ujung Genteng, there is a place used as a fish market. The market is always busy between 5 and 9 am. Fish are sold at lower prices and they are fresh from the sea, caught by the local fishermen. Part of Ujung Genteng is a place called Pangumbahan. It is a unique place for tourists to visit because you can see many sea turtles laying eggs at the beach. They are the green turtles from the sea that can live more than 100 years and grow to be as heavy as 200 kilograms and as long as 1 meter. Each green turtle can lay up to 200 eggs.
Fifteen kilometers from Pangumbahan is a place called Ombak Tujuh (the Seven Waves). This is a good place for tourists to surf. Muara Cipanarikan is another interesting place to visit at Ujung Genteng. It is the place where Cipanarikan river meets the sea. The meeting spot turns into an interesting area of sand. The area is wide and of fine sand, perfect for children to play and make sand castles. Last but not least is a part of Ujung Genteng beach called Cibuaya that is good for swimming and relaxing underwater. Rates of inn and hotel rooms at Ujung Genteng vary from Rp 75,000 to Rp 350,000.
