Komodo National Park

There is an island in Indonesia called Komodo Island (Komodo National Park). The name of the island is also the name of the reptiles that are native to the island, the Komodo giant lizards, known to be the largest living lizards in the world. The island has become a National Park called Komodo National Park, located in Komodo sub-district, West Manggarai district, East Nusa Tenggara province. Flores is the capital city of the province.
Komodo island is especially famous for its native animals (varanus komodoensis) which are protected animals. East Nusa Tenggara province has many smaller islands, one of which is the komodo island. To get to there by a traditional boat from Flores, it takes around 4.5 hours. At Bajo harbor in Flores you can rent a boat costing Rp 600,000 – Rp1.5 million per day. On your boat trip to the island you can see the beautiful views of the nearby islands. The entrance ticket price to enter the national park of komodo is not expensive. To be in the park for three days, a domestic tourist has to pay Rp 75,000 while an international tourist US$15. In the park, you can go trekking across the park guided by an officer. Also, you can go swimming and diving while enjoying the beautiful underwater view. To see the Komodo reptiles, you should wait until it gets dark, because during day time, the reptiles are rarely seen. They avoid the heat of the sun by staying in the bush or their holes.
To spend the night on the Komodo island, just rent an inn room for Rp 50,000 – Rp 60,000 per night. Before leaving the island, you can buy souvenirs such as T-shirts, caps, hats, traditional carving handicraft and visit the Komodo National Park.

The island covers an area of 8.08 square kilometers and is located in the Manado bay. The bay is in Manado, the capital city of North Sulawesi province.
Bunaken island has a tourist object called Bunaken Marine Park that is part of the Bunaken National Park (BNP). This BNP was officially opened by the government in October 1991, twenty years after the island’s beauty was discovered by three men who eventually initiated the BNP diving business there. It is not difficult to get to this marine park. From Manado’s Marina harbor, you can charter a boat for Rp 750,000. The boat capacity is for 15 passengers. From the boat you can look down to the sea and enjoy the beautiful view of the marine park that looks like a huge aquarium.
Besides Bunaken island, BNP has four other islands. They are Siladen, Mantehage, Manado Tua, and Nain islands. Each island has its own beach and diving and snorkeling location. Bunaken’s underwater view is magnificently beautiful. When scuba-diving, you can see many people scuba-dive here and there underwater, enjoying the beauty of the underwater view. Under and through the clear sea water you can see so many fish and coral reefs. There are 20 different diving spots at Bunaken National Park  with various depths, one of which is 1,344 meters deep. Twelve of the twenty spots are found at Bunaken island, which are often visited by tourists who come to dive, snorkel, jet-ski, and enjoy its beautiful underwater view.
To go snorkeling, it costs you only Rp 100,000 in total. This has included the equipment and everything else need for the diving purpose. Also, you can rent a speedboat, yacht, motor boat, or jet-ski. Without doubt, Bunaken north sulawesi  is indeed worth visiting.
